From freezing temperatures to rising heating bills, winter can test your home in many ways. The good news? There are smart upgrades and grants that can make your home warmer, safer, and more efficient—often for free.
1. Insulation is Your First Line of Defence
Insulating your loft and cavity walls helps prevent heat from escaping. This:
Keeps your home warmer
Reduces condensation and damp
Makes your heating system more effective
✅ You may be eligible for up to 100% funding for insulation under ECO4 or local council schemes.
2. Upgrade Your Heating System
Gas boilers are being phased out—and older models can be inefficient and costly to run.
✅ The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) offers a £7,500 grant toward an air source heat pump. That’s a huge discount toward a low-carbon, highly efficient heating system.
3. Check Your Home’s Energy Rating
You’ll need an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) to apply for most grants.
✅ If you don’t have one, we can arrange and pay for it for you as part of our FREE service.
4. Get a Personalised Action Plan
Every home is different. That’s why we create bespoke action plans based on your home’s construction, energy needs, and funding eligibility.
✅ Whether you’re eligible for full funding or just a partial grant, we’ll explain what options are available to you.
5. Don’t Miss Out on Time-Limited Grants
Some government funding schemes are due to change or close by March 2026. That may feel far off—but the application process takes time, and demand is rising fast.
✅ The earlier you apply, the better your chances of accessing the support available.
